ShareHad  great time at Katie Mullins tonight with a huge crowd of loud and friendly Rapids supporters.    I was hoping for more TV’s in what otherwise is a nice place to watch a game. I also had the weirdest BLT I’ve ever had, but it was very tasty. There was a game. I can’t think of a much better way to start the season then winning the first game on the road.  I thought the team looked reasonable good in their half of the field, moved the ball and defended well save a handful of errors.  I recall fewer hopeful long balls out of the back then during the end of last year.  The back four were patient and combined well with the midfield biding time until they could push further into Chivas’ end.   However, once there, with few exception, their touches in the offensive third were horrible, really horrible. When I heard Wynne was a center back I was shocked and expected the worst.  What I saw was a very composed and focused player.  He had few chances to use his vaunted speed, but impressed me none the less.  He won balls in the air and stuck …Read the Rest
