Mom continues to be free of any hallucinations or paranoia episodes.  🙂 We are having Mom’s birthday party today.  Asheigh and Kate’s families along with Abby Laubauch and her boyfriend Michael will also be here.  Pizza and Cake are on the menu.  The party will be from about 4:00 to about 6:30 our time.  If you want to call, after 8:30 your time would be best.

Yesterday was a pretty good day for Mom (and us).  No episodes of hallucinations or paranoia.  The AARP UHC Nurse Practitioner (Martha) came by.  I talked to her before she talked to mom and told her about the episodes.  She talked with mom for about an hour, both about her physical and mental health.  It went very well.  Physically she was very pleased with mom’s condition, for an almost 91 year old. Results from 2 visits for hearing aids. Costco.  Administered by a certified technician.  The test was a Windows program which tested each ear programatically.  Test consisted of playing beep’s in one ear then another with Mom pressing a button when she heard them.  Showed significant hearing loss in left ear with the right ear even worse.  The technician programmed a pair of hearing aids and placed them on Nana’s ears.  The results seemed to be pretty good.  Mom heard both…

I had a very odd conversation with Mom over lunch.  It boiled down to this… She felt something was going on and neither you nor Sheila would tell her what it was.  When I asked why she felt that she could only say she knows things when she feels them.  After further prodding it seems it was rooted in a few things.  One was you not calling when you got to SC.  Therefore you were keeping something from her.  Another…
