Escape Through Lowes

Escape Through Lowes

Standing next to the ladder, I looked up.  It looked like the underside of a raised floor.  The kind of floor used in Data Centers to run cable between computer and network devices.  This didn’t seem odd to me.  As you can see in the picture, a raised floor is constructed on top of a concrete floor.  So the idea that looking up and seeing a raised floor is, to say the least, odd.  Never the less, there I was looking up and seeing raised floor. Not wanting to over analyse it, but what I was seeing was if the room had been turned upside down and I standing on the roof looking up at the tiles. Keep in mind logic is not a prerequisite for a vivid recollection.

All was thinking about was escaping, getting out of the hospital to freedom and back home to my family.  So I climbed the latter and gentle pushed up on one of the raised tiles hoping to avoid be noticed by those above.  Success, no one was around so I pushed the tile aside and climbed onto the floor.  Where was I?  I saw long rows of industrial shelving. Looking closer, it appeared I was in Lowes.

Now what?  I decided the best course of action was to scoot down the ladder and wait until Lowes closed, then Escape Through Lowes via the raised floor panel and out the door.  Simple, so I waited.  I found the ladder by looking in a closet down the hall from my room.  My only concern was if someone would look in the closet.
